The History Museum of the signal school displays the history of the Japan Self-Defense Forces along with the developments of communications technology.
Camp Kurihama Signal School, JGSDF
The main headquarters for the Imperial Japanese Navy Signal School was established in Kurihama after the school was moved from Taura in 1939. The building features a simple and rational design that is iconic of modern architecture. At the History Museum, visitors can learn more about the development of communications technology through exhibits featuring telecommunications equipment used at the time and other historical records. ※History Museum is open to visits by reservation only.
