Kinugasayama Park is renowned within the prefecture for its estimated 2,000 cherry blossom trees, and every spring, many people visit for the Kinugasa Cherry Blossom Festival. The park also features the Ruins of Kinugasa Castle, a mountain castle that utilized the natural environment and served as the stronghold of the Miura Clan during the Kamakura Period (1185-1333).
