Yokosuka Station is a unique station with no stairs. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the many pillars on the platform repurposed from old rails from the 1800s and the station’s beautiful wooden roof truss. The three tunnels that can be seen from Taura Station are called the Shikkama Tunnels. The center tunnel was constructed during the Meiji Period (1868-1912). The right tunnel was built during the Taisho Period (1912-1926), and the left tunnel was established during the Showa Period (1926-1989).

To everyone who is considering visiting Yokosuka
Please be aware of the prevention of infection based on the "new lifestyle" such as wearing a mask and washing your hands thoroughly.
