A traditionally dressed flower picker plucks the wilted flower and allows the iris flower to bloom again.
Yokosuka Iris Garden
From late May to late June, 140,000 irises of 412 different varieties bloom across this 3.8-hectare garden. Many varieties are featured in the garden including the Edo iris that was cultivated in Edo (present-day Tokyo), the Higo iris which was bred from the Edo iris, and the Ise iris that was cultivated in Ise-Matsuzaka.
