A park where you can gaze at ships from both the JMSDF and the U.S. Navy.
Verny Park
Verny Park is named after Verny, the French naval engineer who directed the construction of the Yokosuka Arsenal. It features scenery unique to Yokosuka such as the Arsenal’s dry docks visible within the U.S. Naval Base across the waters and JMSDF Yokosuka District ships floating nearby. The park also incorporates a French-style garden that blooms with roses in spring and autumn.
