The warehouses are large-scale steel-frame buildings that were constructed prior to World War II, and they are valued as important relics within Japan. Each warehouse was situated to allow for cargo to be either transported either inland via the JR line or seaward. The rail sidings used for transportation can still be seen around the area.\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These rail sidings were used for transportation and are unique even within Japan.
